The ZG47 has earned a reputation for being one of the best commercial Mauser actions ever made, and rivals the Model 70 for the title of most universally respected, but it wins in ergonomics and safety. Closer to the original 98 than most competing designs, this is the grandpa action that devolved into the ZKK series, which further devolved into the CZ 550 which further devolved into the 557.
